Washington Crossing Audubon Society and D&R Greenway Land Trust Present: "Flight Risk: Birds, Buildings and Collisions"
A free public program on April 18 featuring the photography of Lynne Parks and the issue of bird impacts with windows in urban areas.
Washington Crossing Audubon Society and D&R Greenway Land Trust will host a free, public presentation at 8 PM on Monday, April 18 by environmental artist, curator and Outreach Coordinator for the avian conservation program Lights Out Baltimore, Lynne Parks. As many as one billion birds die annually in the United States from light pollution that attracts birds into man-made environments. Lynne Parks has documented the loss of bird life from building collisions through her art of photography. Her multimedia presentation will include her art, as well as a discussion of glass environments responsible for many bird deaths and of bird-strike deterrence products that offer solutions to this issue.
The program will be held at the D&R Greenway Johnson Education Center, One Preservation Place, Princeton (off Rosedale Road).
