• Lawsuit says 3 uncovered New Jersey reservoirs left 800,000 drinking water customers at risk (thecooldown.com subscription) — Little Falls residents should know that treated water from the Little Falls Water Treatment Plant is at the center of a lawsuit over three uncovered reservoirs serving about 800,000 North Jersey customers. State and federal officials say the open reservoirs risk contamination from stormwater, animal waste, and pathogens, and they're asking a court to force costly safety upgrades and potential penalties for the Passaic Valley Water Commission.
