
Charles P. "Chip" Connell, Jr., 67, of Little Silver passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at St. Barnabas Hospice. He was born in Kingston, N.Y. and lived most of his life in NYC until moving to Little Silver, N.J. in 1975. Chip was a graduate and active alumnus of Xavier High School in Manhattan and chaired his 50th class reunion this past spring. He graduated from St. Peter's College in Jersey City and completed his MBA at Long Island University. Chip was a realtor with Coldwell Banker of Rumson for many years and served as an IT consultant for AIG. He was a past Captain of the Little Silver Fire Police, a trustee of and a member of the local traffic safety committee. He was a communicant of St. James R. C. Church of Red Bank.
Chip is pre deceased by his parents Charles P. Connell, Sr and Mary Lodge Connell and his eldest son, Charles P. Connell, III.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2011 4-8 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, NJ. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday December 15, 2011 10 AM at St. James R. C. Church in Red Bank, NJ. At the request of the family the interment services will be handled privately.
