How to Get Information During an Emergency in Little Silver
The mayor wants residents to know there are number of ways to find out what's going on in the event of some type of crisis.

The water main break last month exposed not only a storm-damaged infrastructure over at the treatment plant but that residents weren't quite sure how to find out what was going on.
In response, Mayor Robert C. Neff, Jr. has sent a letter out to all homes and businesses detailing not only how to get yourself signed up for various emergency alerts but also asking residents to identify those with special needs situations.
The bright yellow mailing (a copy of which can found to download alongside this article) highlights the following:

- Residents should sign up for the Two River Alert System to receive text, e-mail and phone alerts.
- The borough wants to know if you or someone you know may need special assistance during an emergency. Contact the Borough Clerk's officer at 732-842-2400.
- Volunteers are also needed for the Citizens' Emergency Response Team and those interesteed can e-mail oem@littlesilverpolice.org or call the Little Silver Police at 732-747-5900 and ask for Officer Frank Salerno.
- Monitor the borough's Web site to keep current with any emergency situation.
