Memorial Park of Little Silver has been open for a little over a year, and is providing residents with a publicly sustainable park. The park is a way for residents of Little Silver to enjoy and show their support of the green movement, by being completely run by community involvement.
While the park has not been open long, it is consistently progressing as an environmentally friendly park. The park is now pesticide free. This will prevent toxic runoff and provides a safe, more organic experience.
The park also takes a community approach towards its gardens, presenting the cornerstone of how this park implements sustainability. The gardens will be community run, and rely on the botany enthusiasts of Little Silver, rather than taxes.
As the weather warms up, Memorial Park is a perfect place to experience and enjoy the "green" side of Little Silver.
