RBR Source Recognized by the Mental Health Association of Monmout

RBR SOURCE staff was recently honored by the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County' with the Tony Dowling Child Advocates award.

On May 2, The SOURCE, Red Bank Regional’s (RBR) School Based Youth Services Program, was honored by the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County (MHAMC) with its Tony Dowling Child Advocacy Award. The award was presented at its annual dinner at the Oyster Point Hotel.

The entire RBR Source team was recognized for “their consistent, concrete, and immeasurable support to the youth and families in the local community for 17 years.” The Source staff includes: Suzanne Keller, Program Director; Stacy Liss, Clinician and Clinical Supervisor; Marisol Mondaca, Bi-lingual Clinician; Becky Stevenson, Clinician; Matt Checinski, Clinician; and Linda Schiafone, Administrative Assistant. The Support Staff includes Youth Development Specialist, Lori Lopez, and long-time Tutor and Retired teacher, Joe Cerbone. Also honored, as an integral part of The SOURCE, was long-time Clinician and Boys to Men Club Facilitator,Sean Macon, who passed away last year.

In her nomination of the SOURCE for this prestigious award, “Jessica Kostenblatt, LCSW, DRC, and MHAMC Director, Community Based Programs, stated, “The SOURCE Staff are fearless in their support at the school and community level, often going above and beyond to connect youth and their families with needed care on multiple levels. They work tirelessly to empower youth to be powerful self-advocates no matter what they are facing. Though their work starts with clinical expertise and unwavering support through individual and group work with teens and their families towards wellness and stability, The SOURCE at RBR also maintains several vital programs which have developed from needs presented in their school community.
