2 Stolen Vehicles Found Parked At Livingston Mall: Police

Two stolen vehicles were found parked at the Livingston Mall in separate incidents. Police were able to arrest two people.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Two separate stolen vehicles were recovered in the parking lot of the Livingston Mall last Tuesday, the Livingston police said.

They said that at 12:50 p.m., police found a stolen 2009 Pontiac G6 in the parking lot of the mall. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Newark.

While on the scene, the officers "came into contact" with the driver, Naasira Jones, 24, from Newark, they said. She was placed under arrest for receiving stolen property and taken to headquarters. She was processed and released on a summons, police said.

Later that day, at 7:38 p.m., Livingston police located a stolen 2019 Acura RDX, also in the mall parking lot.

Police said that three suspects came out to the vehicle, and upon seeing the officers, "took off running."

Police took a 17-year-old male from East Orange into custody, they said. The other two fled.

The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.
