3 Livingston Home Burglaries Reported In 1 Week

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A series of home burglaries took place in Livingston last week, police announced Tuesday.

The Livingston Police Department released the following details about each burglary:

MANOR ROAD – “On June 19 at 4:24 a.m., Livingston officers responded to a Manor Road residence on a report of a burglary to the residence. Upon officers’ arrival, the homeowner advised that they were woken up by a loud noise and when they checked their video surveillance, they observed three suspects attempting to gain entry to their residence via a ground level window. Prior to attempting to enter the residence, the suspects were seen pulling on the door handles of the vehicles in the driveway. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. The Livingston Detective Bureau processed the residence and the investigation is ongoing.”

EDGEMERE ROAD – “On June 20 at midnight, Livingston officers responded to an Edgemere Road residence on a report of a burglary to the residence. Upon officers’ arrival, the homeowner advised when they returned home, they observed the front door deadbolt was unsecured and multiple rooms in the residence were ransacked. It is unknown at this time what was taken from the residence. The Livingston Detective Bureau processed the residence and the investigation is ongoing.”

SHREWSBURY DRIVE – “On June 22 at 4:56 a.m., Livingston officers responded to a Shrewsbury Drive residence on a report of an activated burglar alarm at the residence. Upon officers’ arrival, they observed an unsecured rear basement slider. Officers made contact with the homeowners and they stated that when the alarm went off, they heard one of the suspects in the basement. Further investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole a 2023 MB G36 from the residence. The stolen MB was located later in Newark unoccupied. The Livingston Detective Bureau processed the residence and the investigation is ongoing.”
