Air Quality Alert Issued As Temps Soar In Essex County
Residents can minimize the effects of air pollution by avoiding strenuous activity or exercising outdoors.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — As temperatures soar in Essex County on Friday, a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground-Level Ozone has been issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection until midnight.
"A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups," according to the National Weather Service.
