The Livingston National Little League and Softball organization commenced their spring season with the Girls All-Star games. Three separate games were played at the B, C and D levels. The players on each team were selected by their team mates in a secret ballot. At the closing ceremonies, Anna Fredette received the Barry Ross Sportsmanship Award. This honor is bestowed on an 8th grade girl in recognition of outstanding dedication to the program and sportsmanship. She was cited by coaches as always smiling and being positive in good game situations as well as bad ones. Five coaches of 8th grade girls, Don Morsillo, Mark Burack, Michael Kane, Rick Cordero and Bob Scheskowsky, also received awards for their many years of service as coaches for their daughters' teams.
