Alliance to Offer Free Conference for Parents of Students with Disabilities
The Alliance of Private Special Education Schools of North Jersey will host a free conference, resource fair and legal Q&A on May 16th.
Livingston, NJ- The Alliance of Private Special Education Schools of North Jersey will host its 3rd Annual Conference for parents of children and adults with disabilities on Saturday, May 16th.
“Setting Your Sights on Success: A Parent’s Tool Kit for Putting Ideas into Action,” will take place at Eisenhower Conference Center in Livingston, NJ. The free event will begin at 8:30 and conclude at 1:00, and will feature workshops designed to help parents turn knowledge into action.
Following a keynote presentation by nationally recognized special education expert Dr. James Ball, the conference will offer guests a choice of two break-out sessions that address advocacy skills and accessing services. A legal Q&A table, featuring disability law attorneys from the firm Hinkle, Fingles & Prior, will allow parents to get answers to questions about special education, adult services, higher education, and disability benefits.
