LIVINGSTON, NJ — The stage is nearly set for a November showdown in Livingston.

Three seats on the Livingston Township Council are up for grabs this year. Terms last for four years.

Voters went to the polls on Tuesday for a primary election. Democratic and Republican candidates competed for their party’s nomination. The winners will match up against any independent or third-party candidates in a general election on Nov. 3.

Timothy Foley ran unopposed for the Republican Party.

Six candidates are competing for the Democratic Party nomination. Here are the latest results, according to the Essex County Clerk’s Office (with 96.15 percent of districts reported).
