Livingston Needs Volunteers For Township Committees: How To Apply (patch.com) β Livingston officials are inviting residents, especially those new or previously less involved, to apply for a wide range of township advisory committees that will be appointed in January. From diversity, seniors, and disabilities to environmental issues, technology, and town celebrations, there are many ways to help shape community life. Applications are available on the township website and must be emailed by Nov. 30, 2026.

2. Recycle Electronics, Shred Paper At Free Event In Livingston (patch.com) β Livingston residents can safely recycle electronics and shred confidential papers for free at the Senior/Community Center on Saturday, Oct. 24, with early electronics-only drop-off available Oct. 22 and 23. The township details exactly which items are accepted, how the drive-through system will work, and limits on paper shredding so you can clear out clutter while following state recycling rules.

3. Livingston Health Department Teams Up with Cooperman Barnabas for Annual Go Pink for Breast Cancer Event (TAPinto.net) β Livingston's Health Department recently partnered with Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center at Town Hall to offer blood pressure checks, flu shots, and breast cancer education for township employees and residents. Throughout October, you can still stop by Livingston Town Hall on South Livingston Avenue to visit the department's breast cancer education table and pick up guidance on screening and risk reduction.

4. Dementia Art Therapy Alliance builds connections through creativity (thesetonian.com) β Seton Hall students are building meaningful connections with residents at Sunrise of Livingston Senior Living through the Dementia Art Therapy Alliance, which recently held its first painting session there. The club uses simple art projects to spark conversation, reduce loneliness and honor the dignity of people living with dementia, with hopes to expand activities in Livingston and nearby communities.
