Firefighters Receive Training on Solar Panels

Members of the Livingston Fire Department attended an in-house training session on the use of Solar Panel Systems in commercial and residential buildings.

The demonstration was given by Dave “Skully” Boothroyd of Solar Nation, LLC of Piscataway, N.J. and reviewed basics of how a system operates and concerns firefighters could encounter when working in a building that has a solar panel system.

  “This class was very informative and educational to our firefighters, and we thank Solar Nation for taking the time to educate of firefighters," said Chief Christopher Mullin.
