The new Fast Track in the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Emergency Department has opened and it’s twice the size of the previous area. The Fast Track offers an area for people who have urgent but non-life threatening conditions to be treated and released more quickly. “Over the past few years, the Fast Track volume dramatically increased and we grew out of our space. We needed a larger, dedicated area to quickly and efficiently treat our patients. The new area is beautiful with twice the number of patient areas, dedicated rooms for suturing and a private waiting area. We hope this expansion and the renovations will result in an even better experience for our patients,” states Christopher Freer, DO, Chairman, Emergency Medicine.
The Fast Track expansion and renovations were made possible through the support of the Chubb Corporation, Emergency Medical Associates, Friends of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey.
