Aquinas Academy Fourth Graders Celebrate New Jersey
The students created a giant cake in the shape of New Jersey among other activities.

The fourth grade class of baked and decorated a phenomenal four-foot cake this week in preparation for an assembly celebrating New Jersey.
Each student researched one of New Jersey’s twenty-one counties and created that county’s shape in cake. The counties were then pieced together to form the giant New Jersey cake, which was decorated with edible and plastic decorations depicting the researched information.
In addition, each student researched a famous notable New Jerseyan, prepared a speech, and presented the speech at our New Jersey Assembly. Famous New Jerseyans portrayed by students included Millicent Fenwick, Carl Lewis, Sarah Vaughn, Alfred Joyce Kilmer, and Woodrow Wilson.
