Authorities Release Surveillance Photos, Ask For Public's Help With Investigation Into Essex County Fatal Shooting

The Prosecutor's Office is asking for the public's help with the investigation into shooting at a go-go bar. A reward is being offered.

Authorities investigating a fatal shooting in Newark last year have released surveillance photos of people who they say are believed to be connected to the case.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office released the photos today, and the agency is asking for the public’s help with the investigation into the shooting at Fox’s Go-Go Bar, 43 Passaic St., Newark.

Around 1:40 a.m. on Dec. 22, Tywon Bandy, 26, of Cuthbert, Ga., was shot and killed at the bar, following what was believed to be a dispute, according to a news release from the Prosecutor’s Office.

The people in the photographs “are believed to have been involved in the incident,’’ the news release said.

The Essex County Sheriff’s Crimestoppers Program is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
