Back To School: Some Changes On Livingston 2022-2023 School Calendar
What's new: School starts before Labor Day in Livingston, with days off for several religious holidays, Juneteenth, and NJEA Convention.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Back-to-school planning has begun in New Jersey. With COVID still a factor, boards of education have often had to adjust school schedules several times throughout the year — meaning parents must always check back to see if the calendar is updated, before making plans.
In Livingston, there are several changes on the calendar this year from the last few years.

As of this week, the Livingston schools 2022-2023 calendar says that the first day of school for students is also the first day of September — Thursday, Sept. 1. This year, that falls before Labor Day.
Students then have a three-day weekend for Labor Day, and return Tuesday.

This year, the students are getting days off in September and October for Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashana, and Diwali, and a day in June for Juneteenth.

- NJEA Convention/Veteran's Day: Nov. 10-11
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25
- Winter Break: Dec. 24-Jan. 2, 2023
- Mid-Winter Break: Feb. 18-26, 2023
- Spring Break: April 1-10
- Last Day: June 22
