Bergen County Man Charged With Sex Assault Of Child Under 15: Prosecutor

A Bergen County man was arrested on Tuesday for first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child, prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Garfield man was arrested on Tuesday for first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child, prosecutors said.

Jarrell Taver-Hudson, 32, was charged with the assault and also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said that on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, the Division of Child Protection & Permanency
contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child.

An investigation determined that Taver-Hudson sexually assaulted the child, who was 14 years old or younger, in Garfield, NJ on one occasion.

Taver-Hudson was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
