LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Police Department will host its first annual Community Block Party on Sunday, Sept. 29 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Oval. The event will include a helicopter landing, face painting, children's activities and more.

The event will also feature tethered hot air balloon rides at the end of the day’s festivities. Rides will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be 200 tickets available and they must be purchased in advance at police headquarters from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 19 on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $10 and only cash will be accepted.

All proceeds will be donated to Shiv’s Third Eye in memory of Livingston resident Shiv Kulkarni, police said. As all of the proceeds are being donated to charity, no refunds will be given if the balloon is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances.
