The North Essex Chamber of Commerce sponsored its 10th annual “Taste of Essex” earlier this week at Mayfair Farms in West Orange.

The evening featured offerings from 35 local restaurants across Essex County, including bakeries, specialty supermarkets and an ice cream shop, which were sampled by the estimated 250 people in attendance.

In addition to the food and drink donated by vendors, local businesses and community organizations donated items to be auctioned off as part of the fund-raising effort of the chamber's college scholarship fund.
