From Hawaii to LHS
Video added as LHS science teacher Dr. Nuni-Lyn Walsh speaks to Old Guard.
Dr. Nuni-Lyn Walsh, Ph.D, science teacher at Livingston High School, will speak to the Old Guard on Tuesday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend Old Guard meetings which take place at the Livingston Senior/Community Center on Hillside Ave.
Dr. Walsh will discuss her background and wide range of experience. When growing up in Hawaii, her parents taught her to cook, play the piano and sing, in addition to teaching her how to fix cars, weld, mortar bricks, raise honey bees, develop wilderness skills and identify animal tracks.
Dr. Walsh received a BA in chemistry from the University of San Diego. After earning a master's degree at California State University, she worked as an environmental chemist and completed her Ph.D in geological sciences at the University of Washington.
