I Believe In Love

I believe in love, even though I have never smelled it;

Tasted it,

Seen it,

Other than witnessing love among people.

 I believe in love, even though it makes me suffer,

The pain of loving someone who doesn’t love you back;

Love that is taken for granted

Love that is misunderstood

Love that is mistreated

 I believe in love that comes as fresh as the new dawn day;

With all the splendor of brilliant hues

Of the morning light

Attacking the cold darkness of early morn. 

I believe in love for not what it is, but for what I am because of it;

How I love others through care, gentleness, helpfulness, patience, joy, hope. 

I believe in love because it is a part of me,

The way I move,

Breathe,

See others

Live.

Without love life would be intolerable.

Love is the gift from God that keeps on giving.
