It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
In case you missed it, a review of the week's top stories.

When Mister Roger sang about wanting a neighbor just like you, I figured he was talking about my neighbors in Livingston who tended a glorious garden. I remember stalks of corn behind a white picket fence and Mrs. Anthony making preserves from the fruit in her kitchen.
It’s been over 40 years and I still enjoy seeing the neighbors working in their backyard. This month, though, they’ll be taking a break from the raking the hoeing. My neighbor will be strumming and bowing. As a violinist and board member of the , Mrs. Anthony is one of the musicians on tour with the acclaimed Choir of the Pope’s Diocese.
We’ve looked in on other neighborhoods throughout the week. From putting on his uniform to serve as the Grand Marshall only to have it rain on his parade Memorial Day, to watching the governor arrive by to watch his son play ball and the winding its way on New Jersey back roads.
