Life After Birth

Nothing but the best for my child.

It is now mid August and the weather has been unbelievably warm this year. Seeing old friends, exchanging email addresses and cell numbers, don't want to forget my real friends.

One week to go before I pack the car and leave home for good. Oh no that would really scare my parents, let's just say leave home for school ...

During the dinner hours, since we rarely ate together, we just took small bites along a lengthy window, so that we all at one time or other seemed to be communicating.

Well first one home was sis and as usual we discussed her issues at school (teenager) I am now the adult since she is only 14.

Wow, how I remember being 14. That was a tough period for me. Most of my friends were older, and some even were really dating and talking about all their exploits. It was great to listen to the stories being told. You always wondered were they real or were they made up. To this day, I am still not sure of certain things going on, but then it doesn't really matter anymore other than I still think about them ...

Keeping up with the Jones was never an issue, since we were the Jones's!!!!

My playroom looked like a combination of Toys R Us, Fry’s electronics, and the Apple Store all combined.  I was electrified, classified, amplified, beautified, crucified, dehumidified, clarified, detoxified, and last but not least fortified.

I was beginning to amass the names on my face book page, over 500, getting up to 1000, what am I going to do with them, no idea  It seemed like sis was doing the same things I was doing. School was fine, her grades were really good and some of the teachers were also good people. There was always the ones who must have flew under the radar in there stealth fighter jets to escape there performance reviews.  No problems there. Popular she was, smart, good looking, and a pool in her backyard, all winning combinations at her age.

There was this guy who kept looking at her and she asked me when will he talk to me? I told her that even at her age, she could be very intimidating to some boys, and that this is a good thing. She didn’t think that was funny, I didn’t mean for it to be funny. Growing up is hard to do.

Saved by the bell, Mom got home and said that we have got to get to Bed and Beyond later to buy all the things that I would need for my dormitory room. She made a list at work of some of the things “She” thought I needed, I of course had no specific list, since I always shot from the hip, and was ready to fill up the basket with Beef Jerky’s and loads of cookies and chips. She had sheets, comforters, towels, soap holders, my goodness; I thought I was going to have to buy drapes as well.

Tomorrow… we hit the store for Dormitory Life items.
