Vision 2020: What's important to you?

Committee is developing a community questionnaire.

Vision 2020, a Livingston Township committee whose mission is to create a vision for the Township of Livingston that will improve the quality of life for the community, its residents and businesses, has announced that it is now in the process of creating its third town-wide questionnaire.

This new questionnaire will highlight 11 specific areas which we would like all residents and businesses to rank in level of importance to ascertain the quality of the town’s services, and to feedback to us the level of concerns that you might have in relation to these services. In order to improve services, your input is very important to us and to the other Livingston residents.

These areas of concern range from Business Growth & Development, Youth and Senior programs and activities, Arts and Culture to Public Safety, Transportation, Education and Conservation and Environment.

What is different from its previous questionnaires, is that for the current one, specific questions will be asked for community input by many of the township departments and committees who are involved in these areas of service. The responses will guide them on what is good or what needs to be changed or improved upon.

Input from all members of the Livingston community is vital to this process, so copies of the questionnaires will be conveniently located around the township, including Town Hall, the Library and the Senior-Community Center.

For those who want to respond in a 21st century manner, the Questionnaire will also be on-line at the Township web site (www.livingstonnj.org)

Results of this survey will be reported to the Town Council and will be made public.

Watch for further stories about this and the announcement of its availability, as we get closer to the start date.
