What's Happening in Livingston Public Schools
Our weekly e-news has links to the information you need to stay informed about Livingston Public Schools.

The day before I started school at Burnet Hill Elementary School, my Dad lifted me to peek into the window of the kindergarten classroom. The next day I couldn’t wait to tell him about all the things that went on inside.
In my new job here at Livingston Public Schools, that’s actually what I’ll be doing -- peeking into classrooms and telling the community about all the things happening at Livingston schools.
This past week, I was back at Heritage, where the author Harlan Coben remembered the last time he stood on the school’s stage. It was 35 years ago and he was making a speech seeking votes on student council. He was running for treasurer and best friends with Chris Christie, the kid seated next to him in homeroom.
Coben reflected on that friendship bonded in Room 202. Christie grew up to become New Jersey’s governor, while Coben has made a career out of lying on his sofa wondering, “What if?" as the best-selling author of numerous suspense novels.
You can read the full story on Coben’s Livingston memories on the LPS Website. We’ve made it easier to find the information you need with direct links from this weekly e-news to the improved website. You can find community news, announcements and events on the Bulletin Board, and headlines to district news below.
I’m tall enough now to peek in classrooms all by myself. And you know what? I’m excited as I was on my first day of school to see what’s going on for this generation at Livingston Public Schools.
