Brach Eichler Earns Top Rankings in Chambers USA for 2017

Brach Eichler LLC has announced that the Firm's health law and real estate practices have again been recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2017) as among New Jersey's top law practices. In addition, four of the firm's attorneys have been named this year among “Ranked Lawyers.”

Brach Eichler’s health law practice was listed by Chambers USA in the Top Tier (Band 1) among health law practices in New Jersey and has been every year since 2009. Chambers cited the “exceptional group of esteemed practitioners handling a broad scope of healthcare matters such as corporate governance and compliance, transactions and regulatory advice.”

Brach Eichler’s real estate practice was also cited for the second consecutive year among Band 2 firms in New Jersey, marking the sixth year the practice was recognized by Chambers USA (the firm was listed among Band 3 firms from 2011 to 2015). Specifically, Chambers USA cited the firm as possessing “a significant profile in the market, with considerable capacity in financing and transactional work, including acquisitions and sales of apartment buildings.”

John D. Fanburg (Band 1) is the managing member of the firm and chairs its health law practice group. Fanburg has experience representing major hospitals, diverse medical groups and statewide physician specialty organizations on a broad range of corporate, transactional and regulatory matters. He is a resident of Livingston, NJ.

Joseph M. Gorrell (Band 1) is a member of the health law practice group and counsels hospitals, medical staffs, nursing homes and individual practitioners on a broad scope of issues ranging from hospital and medical staff issues to regulatory corrective actions to transactional matters. Gorrell is a resident of Bridgewater, NJ.

Alan R. Hammer (Band 1) is a member of the real estate practice and concentrates his practice in the areas of tax appeals and investment real estate transactions. Hammer has been named to the first tier of practitioners by every year since 2010. He resides in Livingston, NJ.

Allen J. Popowitz (Band 2) is chair of the real estate practice and a member of the real estate tax appeals practice. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate and mortgage lending and advises clients on sales, purchases, financing, leasing and Internal Revenue Code Section 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges.
