Burglar ‘Ransacks’ Livingston Home, Shatters Sliding Door: Police

Livingston police responded to a local home after getting a report about an activated burglar alarm. Here's what they found.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A burglar ransacked a Livingston home last week, shattering a rear sliding door in the process, authorities announced Tuesday.

The Livingston Police Department released the following details about the burglary, which took place on March 8:

“At 7:09 p.m., Livingston officers responded to a Thames Drive residence [after getting a report about] a burglary alarm. Upon officers’ arrival, they located a rear sliding door that was shattered. Further investigation revealed the home had just been burglarized and the bedrooms ransacked.”

The homeowner is compiling a list of stolen items. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating the burglary, authorities said.
