Burglars Break Into Livingston Home, Steal Car: Police
They apparently got into the home through a basement window, Livingston police said.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — Burglars stole a car from a home in Livingston this week, breaking into the residence through a basement window, police announced Tuesday.
The Livingston Police Department released the following details about the incident, which took place around 3 a.m. on Monday:
“Livingston officers responded to a Hearthstone Terrace residence on a report of an active burglary. Prior to officers’ arrival, the suspects fled the scene in the homeowner’s 2021 BMW X5. Upon further investigation, it appears that the suspects gained access to the residence via a basement window. Also located in close proximity to the burglary was a 2020 Hyundai Elantra later confirmed to have been stolen out of Newark.”
The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating the burglary, authorities said. No additional information was immediately available.
