Burglary Suspect Escapes from Saint Barnabas
Woman charged in West Orange flees while being treated.

(Updated 5:50 p.m.) The burglary suspect that escaped police custody while being treated at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston has been found, officials confirmed early Sunday evening.
Lisa Meiners, a 40-year-old woman arrested on multiple burglary charges, was located by the West Orange Police Department earlier in the afternoon, said Jessica Glicker, West Orange Public Information Officer. She is now being held at the Essex County Jail, Glicker said.
Details were not immediately available as to how Meiners was apprehended.

Meiners, a blonde haired, blue-eyed, 5'3" woman, was admitted to the hospital Friday for a swollen arm and managed to flee unnoticed Saturday morning, said Glicker. The cause of her swollen arm was not immediately known.
Meiners, a Budd Lake resident, was arrested by the Mt. Olive Police Department Thursday after allegedly committing two burglaries in the West Orange Valley District, officials with the township confirmed.

Glicker said Meiners confessed to the burglaries after a fingerprint was found at the scene of one of the burglaries, leading to her arrest.
