With the 2023-24 school year in full swing, Mount St. Dominic Academy, the independent, Catholic college preparatory school for young women, is excited to welcome prospective students and families to campus for two in-person Open Houses. Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, along with their families, are invited to visit the beautiful, tree-lined campus, which is located in the heart of Caldwell, on Thursday, October 5, with the specially timed program beginning promptly at 6:30 pm; or on Sunday, October 29, at 1 pm. Visiting families will have an opportunity to meet members of the Mount faculty, staff and current student body, and discover everything the Mount has to offer – from academics to arts, sports to service – and everything in between.

Championed by a faculty and staff that specialize in how girls learn best, the Mount provides a unique blend of traditional liberal arts coursework with Signature Programs providing innovative, real-world educational opportunities, including a two-year Entrepreneurship Program (the L.E.O. Program), a Senior Capstone in Directed Research, and Academic Concentrations in health sciences and social justice. Leadership and life skills, college prep and career-readiness are at the forefront of complementary elements of the curriculum, and enhance the school’s long-standing focus on educating and empowering young women to think critically, act compassionately, and discover their passions.

In its 131st year, Mount St. Dominic Academy recently welcomed 75 young women to the school’s freshman class. The new students representing the Class of 2027, come from more than 30 towns across New Jersey, with more than half of them joining from public schools. The Mount’s most recent graduates, the 73 members of the Class of 2023, collectively earned more than $18 million in scholarships and grants, with 100 percent of the class accepted into colleges and universities across the United States including Boston University, Clemson, Georgetown University, George Washington University, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Penn State and Villanova. Mount graduates transition to college, career and beyond with the confidence they can be the change they seek in the world, and the agency to use their gifts and talents to support and empower others. Mount alumnae are currently working in diverse fields spanning finance, technology, healthcare, the arts and education, and more, impacting their communities through their roles with organizations including Amazon, Bayer, Citibank, Google, Hulu, IBM, Weill Cornell Medical Center, and the U.S. Department of State - to name just a few.
