Falling Into New Jersey

Do you want to enjoy New Jersey’s spectacular fall scenery from the comfort of your armchair with no driving or travel required?

This virtual program brings the beauty of autumn in the Garden State to life.   It highlights favorite fall destinations across New Jersey, where more than 500,000 trees create brilliant foliage from late September through mid-October. Featuring places such as Delaware Water Gap, Hope, Washington Crossing, and charming small towns and unexpected stops along the way, the presentation showcases the state at its wonderful best. The presentation also explores native plants and trees, including the majestic red oak, that add to the state’s breathtaking seasonal beauty. 

Presenter Jo Ann Tufo is a historian, writer, lecturer, and performer with more than 30 years of experience. Early in her career, she worked as a historian in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, presenting local history as a tour guide and escort. Jo Ann also teaches in Coastal Carolina University’s OLLI Program. She presents virtually across the United States on topics spanning the Colonial, Civil War, World War I, World War II, and Vietnam eras. Many of her programs highlight women’s significant contributions, and she also incorporates notable travel destinations into her classes and lectures.

This program is being presented virtually over Zoom.  Registration is required and the Zoom link will be emailed the day before the event.
