BMW Stolen From Livingston Driveway And Recovered In Another Town: Police

There were two break-ins and a car theft in Livingston last week, according to police reports.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — There were two break-ins and a car theft in Livingston last week, according to police reports released this week.

Car Theft

On Friday morning, a Morningside Drive resident called police to report that their 2022 BMW X7 had been stolen from the driveway overnight. It was later found in Irvington, police said.

Car Break-In

The day before, police responded at 3:19 a.m.to a Hadrian Drive home on a report of a possible burglary. Homeowners said they'd heard the garage door open, but didn't see anything when they looked outside. Police found that the residents' Mazda CX3 had been entered, and the garage door opener and $5 were taken from the vehicle.

Home Burglary

On Sunday at 6:13 p.m., Livingston officers responded to a Grasmere Court home on a report of a burglary. The homeowners came home and found the back sliding door smashed and the master bedroom ransacked, police said.

The homeowners are compiling a list of stolen items, police said.
