Car Stolen In Livingston, Found At Short Hills Mall: Police
Police arrested a New Jersey resident, who was also found with stolen credit cards and key fobs to multiple vehicles, authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A car stolen in Livingston was recently found parked at a mall in Short Hills, an incident that led to the arrest of a Rahway resident, authorities said.
The Millburn Police Department released the following details about the incident, which took place on Jan. 18 at The Mall at Short Hills:
“Millburn police located a suspect vehicle, that was involved in a theft that occurred in Livingston, parked at the Short Hills mall. The investigation led to the arrest of Ranard Webber, 49, of Rahway, for the theft out of Livingston. The arrest revealed multiple credit cards belonging to different victims and multiple key fobs to different vehicles.”
Webber was charged with possessing stolen credit cards, forgery and possession of burglary tools. He was released to Livingston police on their warrant, Millburn authorities said.
