Casino Night Offers A Night of Fun and Chance

The Phoenix Center, a Nutley Non-Profit School for Students with Disabilities, Hosts Annual Fundraiser

Nutley, NJ – On Friday, May 1, The Phoenix Center, a private school serving students with disabilities, will be transformed into a festive casino, offering an evening of fun and chance with Roulette, Craps, Black Jack, Poker and Slots. The annual Casino Night event is The Phoenix Center’s largest and most important fundraising event of the year.

The evening begins at 7PM with a private VIP reception at 6:30. Tickets include hors d’oeuvres and dessert, beer, wine, beverages and gaming chips.

The event offers a range of sponsorship and donor opportunities. This year, James and Anne Russomano of Nutley Kia have announced Gold Chip sponsorship of the event. In addition, Knights of York is a returning Gold Chip sponsor. Bronze Chip sponsors include Clean Earth of NJ, Delta Marcliff Insurance Agency, DeMeola Zawacki Mingione & Co, LLC, JB Autism Consulting, Live Nation and Republic Services. Other business sponsors and donors include Applebee’s, Chevy’s, The Shannon Rose, Spuntino, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Mr. Cupcakes, Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, and Catcord Construction. “This is a really fun evening, but it cannot happen without support. We are so deeply grateful and humbled by the community response to this event,” said Geraldine Gibbia, co-founder and Executive Director of The Phoenix Center. “We could not do our work without the generosity of our donors.”

About The Phoenix Center: Founded in 1991, The Phoenix Center serves roughly 145 students from 64 districts and nine New Jersey counties. The Phoenix Center is a state-approved, nationally-accredited, not-for-profit school serving the educational, behavioral and therapeutic needs of students ages five through 21 with autism, multiple disabilities, behavioral and intellectual disabilities. The Phoenix Center’s customized programs are anchored in a hands-on, real-life, community-based instruction model. Students are placed at The Phoenix Center by their local school district, and attend at no cost to parents.
