Celebrate Purim at Temple B’nai Abraham!

In observance of Purim, TBA will hold services, Wed, Feb 28, 7:00 PM and will hold the Purim Carnival, Sun, March 4, 10:30AM-1:00 PM.

Purim, which begins Wednesday evening February 28, is a festival that commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people living throughout the ancient Persian Empire from a plot by Haman to annihilate them, as recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther (Megillah Esther). Purim is celebrated annually according to the Hebrew calendar on the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Adar (Adar II in leap years).

In observance of Purim, Temple B’nai Abraham will hold services on Wednesday, February 28, at 7:00 PM, which includes the traditional reading of the Megillah ( the Book of Esther). Join us for this event which is free and open to the community!

Also in celebration of Purim, the Jewish Learning Program of Temple B’nai Abraham will hold their annual Purim Carnival on Sunday, March 4, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the temple. The entrance fee is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Games and inflatables will be provided by Bounce On In Events. There will be face painting , snacks for purchase and much more. Dressing in costume is encouraged. Open to the community, but children must be accompanied by an adult. To register, please call 973-994-3950.
