LIVINGSTON, NJ — Never underestimate the healing power of a snowman … or a couple of awesome nurses.

On Friday, Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston shared a message about a smile-inducing moment shared between a young patient, her mother and the hospital’s nursing team.

“While one of our patients, Joy, couldn't leave her bed to enjoy the snowy weather, SBMC decided to bring the snow day fun right to her! Snow was brought inside of our PICU as our incredible nursing team, including Kevin Reylado and Kristin Visentin, went above and beyond to help Joy and her mother build a snowman together. We hope you feel better soon, Joy!”

A series of recent winter storms have dumped snow on towns across New Jersey. But some residents have been taking advantage of the chance to summon their inner artists and build snow creations.
