Chinese Culture Day Returns In Livingston For 24th Year

The 2026 celebration coincides with the Year of the Horse. Last year, more than 2,000 people attended.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A long-standing local tradition is returning for 2026: Livingston Chinese Culture Day.

This year’s celebration marks its 24th year, which coincides with the Year of the Horse. Last year, more than 2,000 people attended the festivities.

The 2026 celebration kicked off with a performance at Livingston High School on Jan. 31.

Another event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Fitness and Wellness Center of the high school, 30 Robert Harp Drive. The Lunar New Year Funfair will take place from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., with an opening ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Activities will include family-friendly cultural displays and community booths. Admission is free.

This year’s event is organized in partnership with the Livingston Public Schools World Language Department and community partners including Living Stone Christian Church, Livingston Chinese School (host organization for 2026), Livingston Huaxia Chinese School, and the Livingston Chinese Association.
