Club TBA Creates Mezuzah Cases

Recently Club TBA of The Jewish Learning Program, Temple B’nai Abraham, made personalized decorative cases for their Mezuzah. The Mezuzah is a piece of parchment called the klaf (often contained in a decorative case) inscribed with Hebrew verses from the Torah. The case can be made from a wide variety of materials, silver, metals, wood, stone, ceramics, pewter and clay. The students in Club TBA designed a Mezuzah case out of model magic using their imagination for a unique design.
Club TBA, for grades third to sixth, meets twice a month. The programs are an enjoyable social way for Jewish kids to have fun while socializing, eating pizza and participating in games and activities with their JLP friends. The group is led by TBA Coordinator of Special Projects Arleen Lichtenstein.
