Coastal Flood Advisory Issued For Sunday Morning In Essex County
Some roads and some "homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding," the NWS said.

ESSEX, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued several advisories for North Jersey counties — including a coastal flood advisory for Sunday morning for eastern Hudson, eastern Essex, and eastern Union counties.
That advisory is in effect from 5-9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2.
They also warned of fog and low visibility Saturday night.

Regarding the flood advisory, they predict up to one foot of flooding near the water, particularly at high tide.
They said to allow extra travel time as some roads may be closed, and don't drive through "water of unknown depth."

"Minor flooding is expected in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline," they noted, "Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and
homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding."
