Come Hear WWII Veteran Speak At Livingston Event On Monday

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Historical Society will host World War II Veteran Robert Newhouse this Monday to talk about his World War II service.
An announcement from the Society reads:
The Livingston Historical Society will host World War II Veteran Robert Newhouse Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Livingston Community/Senior Center.

Dr. Newhouse served in the United States Army for three years during World War II. During his service, he spent 14 months in the United States and 14 months in Europe, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Dr. Newhouse was one of 600,000 American troops in the battle, in which 87,223 Americans were killed, wounded or captured from 1944-1945. He earned a Bronze Star and was the recipient of a Purple Star, as he was wounded by shrapnel as the German army retreated.
