Community Cleanup Event Returning In Livingston For 2026
Volunteers can earn community service hours for their participation.

Livingston will hold its annual “Pick It Up!” community clean-up day on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 9 to 11 a.m. Sign up to volunteer online here.
Pick It Up! offers a safe, fun way for residents to help keep Livingston beautiful by clearing litter from designated outdoor spaces. Volunteers can earn community service hours for their participation.

Participants must sign up online, either as individuals or with a group, to volunteer to pick up and sort garbage and recyclables at one of nine specific clean-up areas. Location Team Leaders will advise volunteers on additional details and provide clean-up supplies.
The nine clean-up locations are: Beaufort Avenue, the Livingston Senior/Community Center (204 Hillside Avenue), West Hobart Gap Road (from Nero’s to Coventry), East Hobart Gap Road (from the Fire Station to S. Orange Avenue), Laurel Avenue in Prospect Park, E. Northfield Road at the Kiwanis entrance, Shrewsbury Avenue in East Hills Park, S. Livingston Avenue (across from St. Philomena’s), and Madonna Drive by Livingston High School.

Location Team Leaders will provide instructions in advance about where to park near the clean-up area and where to meet the group.
Each participating volunteer must pre-register using the SignUpGenius page, which can be found here or through the township website calendar at livingstonnj.org. Residents can email pickituplivingston@gmail.com with any questions.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while cleaning up at all designated locations.
Parking and meet-up area instructions for each location will be provided when available.
