'Holiday Spirit' Art Exhibit to Open at Shoppes at Livingston Circle
The student art exhibition opens Saturday, Dec. 19 from 4-6 p.m.

The Arts Council of Livingston (ACL) invites students, parents and area art lovers to attend the opening of the “Holiday Spirit” student art exhibition Saturday, Dec. 19 from 4-6 p.m. at The Fresh Market at the Shoppes at the Livingston Circle. Guests can warm up with hot chocolate and coffee courtesy of The Fresh Market and view more than 50 holiday-themed paintings, which will be on display through Saturday, Jan. 23 at The Shoppes.
The exhibit features 16” X 20” paintings on Plexiglas, created by Livingston elementary students during a “Paint-In” at The Shoppes on Saturday, Dec. 5. The colorful panels, which have been hung in select locations throughout the center, resemble stained glass windows that glow through the reflection from lights placed around the perimeter. The ACL is also creating a book featuring the original sketches submitted by the junior artists.
The project has been supported by The Fresh Market and Eastman Companies, who own and manage The Shoppes. The Arts Council of Livingston is a nonprofit arts coordinating group established by the Township Council to make the arts more visible in Livingston and the surrounding areas.
