Departed Soles: Sneakers And Shoes Stolen In Livingston, Police Say
Shoes were stolen from a store at the Livingston Mall, and then sneakers were stolen from a car, police said.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — Shoes and sneakers were a hot item in Livingston over the past week, according to Livingston police reports.

On Sunday, at 3:04 p.m., the Livingston police responded to a store called “City of Soles” in the Livingston Mall on a report of a burglary, they said.

The owners said that when they came to the store in the morning, they found an entry/exit door slightly ajar. When they reviewed surveillance video, they saw a suspect entering the store while it was closed and stealing over $600 in shoes.
The incident is being investigated by the Livingston Detective Bureau.

Meanwhile, thieves broken into several unlocked cars in town over the past week. Among the items stolen were sneakers.
These are the thefts:
- Aug. 10: Bennington Road, an Infinity. Thieves took Apple Airpods, two pairs of sneakers, and a pair of slides.
- Aug. 10: Bennington Road, Audi Q5. Thieves took $20 in cash.
- Aug 14: Burnet Hill Road, Jeep Grand Cherokee. Thieves took Apple Airpods and a charger.
The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.
