Take Back Day encourages the public to dispose of old, unused, unwanted, and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications properly and safely to help lower the risk of drug abuse and misuse. Doing so also keeps potentially toxic chemicals out of the soil and water system. This helps to preserve a safe and healthy environment for future generations.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the free 24-hour Drug Drop Box located in the lobby of Livingston Police Headquarters, 333 S. Livingston Avenue. All are reminded that containers can be placed in the box individually or in plastic Ziploc-type bags.
