Temple B’nai Abraham Men’s Club is participating in Dunk Your Kicks program of donating used sneakers
(in good, gently-used condition) to support The Max Cure Foundation during their annual Sports Breakfast, on Sunday, January 29, featuring guest speaker Willie Randolph, two- time World Series winner, former NY Yankee and former Met’s Manager. Through a project of recent Bat Mitzvah, TBA student, Ashley Sonnenberg, the sneaker collection will be in progress during this morning event from 9:00-11:00 AM. Both children and adult sneakers are needed.

For those who wish to donate sneakers and not attending the event, there will be donation receptacles set-up in the temple lobby the week before the event as well as the day of the Sports Breakfast. It is helpful if the sneakers are tied together, as this will make it easier to count. For information regarding the Dunk Your Kicks collection or tickets for the breakfast go to www.tbanj.org, or call 973.994.2290. Visit wwww.tbanj.org for details.

The Max Cure Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for pediatric cancer research and providing financial assistance to low-income and/or military families who have a child with cancer. One of Max Cure's biggest fundraising initiatives is called Dunk Your Kicks. Through Dunk Your Kicks, MCF collects used sneakers from various donation sources across the country. They in turn work with an international footwear recycler, Re-Think Nation, who gives MCF up to $1.00 for every pair of shoes donated. RTN goes on to sell the shoes at an affordable price in developing nations, where access to proper footwear is often limited.
