Essex County GOP Women: Centennial Fundraiser Was A Smash Hit
The Essex County NJ Republican Women celebrated their 100th anniversary at a fundraising event that drew some familiar faces.

Seventy local conservatives, political candidates and guests gathered on Sept. 16 to help the Essex County NJ Republican Women celebrate their 100th anniversary and U.S. Constitution Day (Sept. 17) at a fundraising dinner featuring speakers, prizes, patriotic music, song and more.
The event co-chairwomen were Carol Vasquez (Montclair, Carol Gallentine (Roseland) and Janet Mangano (Short Hills). Held at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover, keynote speakers were U.S. Congressional candidates (2020) Rosemary Becchi and Jennifer Zinone (11th & 10th Congressional Districts, respectively). Zinone & Becchi spoke to the history and the future of Republican women in New Jersey. The evening's honorary chairwoman was populist preacher, Barbara From Harlem.

Political candidate guests who presented their cases for election included John Sym and Kevin Ryan (Assembly in NJ Legislative District 27 - Caldwell, Essex Fells, Livingston, South Orange, Maplewood, West Orange, Millburn and Roseland ) and Scott Pollack (NJ Senate candidate in Legislative District 34 - Montclair, Clifton, East Orange and Orange). Also present was Anthony D'Angelo, assembly candidate in Legislative District 28 (Nutley, Newark (part), Bloomfield, Irvington and Glen Ridge).
Speaking on behalf of the New Jersey Federation of Republican Women (NJFRW), President Angelique Scholl, accompanied by NJFRW officer Cathy Callahan, congratulated the Essex women's GOP group and commended the strong organizational performance of the club under the leadership of President Carol Gallentine and Vice President Maureen Edelson.
