Christopher Zarro, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with The Spine Institute at Saint Barnabas, will introduce an investigational/medical device, the Superion™ Interspinous Spacer (ISS), designed to relieve chronic pain caused by moderate lumbar spinal stenosis and offer a minimally invasive alternative to traditional spinal surgery. Currently, a clinical trial is underway through The Spine Institute at Saint Barnabas to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Superion™ ISS for the treatment of moderate lumbar spinal stenosis.
