Join in 'A Celebration of Livingston'

Be part of a live studio audience on Sunday when Livingston Television (LTV) broadcasts  "A Celebration of Livingston' on Sunday, Nov. 14 at the Livingston Senior and Community Center on Hillside Avenue. The show will go live from 4 p.m and can be seen on Comcast Channel 34 and Verizon FIOS Channel 26.

The program will showcase many activities in the Livingston community, and will give viewers at home the opportunity to see what the many groups in our town have to offer.

In 2008, the Livingston Public Broadcasting Committee officially changed the name of the township's community access channel from TV-34 to LTV: Livingston Television with a live telecast. The first event was such an overwhelming success that LTV produced a second live telecast last year. With the upcoming show, the live telecast becomes an official LTV tradition.

This year, three groups from town will provide live performances on its November 14 telecast: The Children's Theatre of Livingston, featuring numerous performers from among Livingston's youth, will sing two songs from its latest shows; representatives from the Livingston Symphony Orchestra will take the stage for a sample of classical music; and finally, the Livingston Community Players will join the telecast for two songs from its current presentation, immediately following their matinee performance at the Mt. Pleasant Middle School Auditorium.

Other organizations and individuals are expected to participate in this exciting event, including the mayor, other township representatives, members of the business community and Livingston Public Schools; Livingston Senior, Youth and Leisure Services; arts associations; youth and senior citizen groups; Livingston-based performers; and more.
